Under the motto “With livable Ingelheim into the Advent season” We will celebrate the illumination of the 23rd “Ingelummer Candle” together on Thursday, November 28th, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. on Sebastian-Münster-Platz in the center of Ingelheim. For over 20 years, the Bismarck Tower has shone as a large Advent candle over Ingelheim and far into the Rhine Valley in the run-up to Christmas - a shining symbol of the city in the dark season. The Ingelummer candle is intended to symbolize confidence in challenging times. In 2023, Rheinhessische Energie- und Wasserbedarfs-GmbH will once again be strongly committed to this identity-forming, contemplative Advent light. The city marketing association Lebenswerts Ingelheim traditionally organizes the festival with physical delights, mulled wine and live music. Experience the celebratory illumination of “our” candle in an atmospheric atmosphere when, at 7 p.m., Mayor Ralf Claus and Martin Wunderlich from Rheinhessische light up the Bismarck Tower on Waldeck at the push of a button. Afterwards there will be an hour of music to round it off. Celebrate with us the illumination of the 23rd “Ingelummer Candle” on November 28th in the city center - ... and Ingelheim shines!
