Cultural events for kids in Ingelheim

Ingelheimer Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM) once again has exciting cultural events for children in its programme for 2025. On Sunday, 9 March, the ensemble ‘Jan & Henry 2’ will be performing at kING (Kultur- und Kongresshalle Ingelheim). With their new programme ‘The Treasure of Piepenschlönz’, a six-member ensemble will play, dance and sing in search of a mysterious treasure that is said to be hidden in Piepenschlönz Castle.

Young audiences can look forward to another cultural highlight as part of the ‘Konzertfrühling Ingelheim’ programme. On Sunday, 16 March, an imaginative concert about dreaming is on the programme with the musical theatre piece ‘Die Schurken unterwegs nach Umbidu’, which is well worth seeing.

The ‘Smurfs on a Grand Tour’ is on Saturday, 26 April in Ingelheim. The Smurf ensemble will be causing a sensation at kING with their brand new musical. Thrilling stories about Papa Smurf, Smurfette and the little blue friends with their endearing quirks will take to the stage.

On Sunday, 11 May, the young audience can go on a musical journey of discovery with the children's musical theatre ‘Eule findet den Beat - mit Gefühl’. In the third part of her exciting journey through the world of music, Eule discovers that music is the language of emotions. In the end, the adventurous little owl learns how good it is to express feelings through music.

Of course, the established outdoor events for the young audience are also back in 2025: For the popular ‘Thursdays in the City - Kids’ series, IkUM has once again put together a varied children's programme on four Thursdays from 14 August to 4 September (from 3 pm each day). On Sebastian-Münster-Platz, there will be music, theatre, comedy and more for children to join in with free admission.

The ‘Töne & TamTam’ family music festival is a firm fixture in the Ingelheim events calendar and will be held in the castle garden for the fifth time this year. On Saturday, 16 August, and Sunday, 17 August, the enchanted garden not far from the castle church will be the setting for a musical family festival with individual artists, hands-on programmes and creative activities.

On Saturday, 29 November, the imaginative musical highlight ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will take to the stage at kING. Emotional original compositions and a large portion of poetry transport the audience into the world of this enchanting fairy tale with humour and emotion.

‘The Jungle Book’ is back. On Sunday, 7 December, Jungle Book fans big and small can accompany the musical ensemble on an adventurous journey that enchants young and old with humour, dance and song as well as shadow plays and hand puppets. A marvellous live experience for the whole family.

The IkUM events for children can also be found in the current ‘Culture for Kids’ flyer.
