New Year's Concert

The organiser Sinfonieorchester Rhein-Main e.V. describes the event as follows:

Danube Waltz, Radetzky March, Fledermaus Overture

Polkas, marches and waltzes by Strauss & Co.

For the programme, the orchestra of Johann Strauss father and son has selected the works that no New Year's concert should be without. You can look forward in particular to the Radetzky March, the Fledermaus Overture and the Danube Waltz, which you will all recognise from the Vienna Philharmonic's annual New Year's concert on television.

After the last concerts, the press wrote ‘Entertaining and of high musical quality’ and ‘The concert thrilled the audience to such an extent that there were minutes of applause and standing ovations at the end’.

The Rhine-Main Symphony Orchestra was founded in Ingelheim in 2015. The orchestra is now known far beyond the borders of Ingelheim and regularly performs in Wiesbaden, Mainz, Bad Kreuznach, Bingen and other cities in the region.
