“Once upon a time...” in Nieder-Ingelheim

In 1999, the Museum bei der Kaiserpfalz found its home in the former fire station on today's François-Lachenal-Platz. Not only the name of the square, but also the face of Nieder-Ingelheim has changed since the building was erected in 1935: Many of the buildings that are familiar today were built in a veritable “building boom” after the war. Old stores and restaurants have disappeared and new ones have been added, but people have always experienced these changes, helped to shape them and captured them in photographs. Together with museum employee Miriam Maslowski, the group will embark on an illustrated journey through the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s in Nieder-Ingelheim.
