The event organised by the Ingelheim Vinothek offers the opportunity to get to know different grape varieties and ‘taste’ their specific characteristics. There will also be an opportunity to talk to the winegrowers and find out exciting details about wine. Good wines will be served at the five tasting stands on the topics of ‘ÖKOlogisch’ (wines from organic wineries), ‘FrühBURGUNDER’ (nowhere else in Rheinhessen grows as much Pinot Noir as in Ingelheim), ‘AlkohlFREI’ (the demand for alcohol-free wines is growing), “LagenWEINE” (the special soils characterise these top wines) and “EdelBRÄNDE & EdelSÜSS” (products from the Dengel vinotheque distillery and two ice wines).
In addition to the opportunity to experience the diversity of the Ingelheim wine landscape in terms of flavour, the ‘Wine Nose Day’ also offers plenty of information. Two ‘mini-seminars’ in the historic vaulted cellar provide guests with expert knowledge. The ‘Orange still and sparkling’ workshop, which is offered at 2.15 pm and 4.15 pm, is all about the wine colour ‘orange’. This can be seen in white wines that have been fermented on the skins for a long time and, in addition to their special colour, impress with their exciting herbal aroma.
In the ‘BurgunderWUNDER Ingelheim’ workshop, which takes place at 3.15 pm and 5.15 pm, the Rhine-Hessian wine princess Laura Schlösser presents powerful Burgundy white wines and reveals why Burgundy vines feel so at home on Ingelheim soils.
Small delicacies to accompany the wine from the ‘Engler'S’ restaurant in the wine cellar round off the programme.
Admission costs 49 euros per person. In addition to the wines and workshops, the price also includes water and bread. As a special goodie, there is a 10 per cent discount voucher for a purchase in the Ingelheim Vinothek. Tickets are available at the Ingelheim Vinothek, Binger Straße 16, and online at https://www.ingelheim-erleben.de/erlebnis-shop-1#/erlebnisse/RPT/fc904c7f-28b3-472d-b3db-3b1ed5012f58/weinnasen-tagesticket-05--april-25
