After the red wine festival and the ‘BurgbergUnderVibes’, the popular spring wine festival at the Ingelheim wine cellar is now the third wine festival in the red wine town to be awarded the coveted seal of quality. ‘The award is proof that we have created a high-quality event with a feel-good atmosphere and a special wine experience with the Ingelheim Spring Wine Festival,’ says a delighted IkUM Managing Director Matthias Becker. The certification by Rheinhessenwein e.V. will help to further strengthen the attractiveness of the town of Ingelheim and put the wine and cultural landscape of Rheinhessen even more centre stage.
‘We are proud that our spring wine festival has been awarded the third Rheinhessen-AUSGEZEICHNET certification for Ingelheim. This is unique in Rheinhessen,’ says Kathrin Saaler, head of the Ingelheim wine shop and tourist information centre in the wine cellar. The festival offers an ideal setting to combine the enjoyment of wine and music in a great atmosphere. Congratulations on the award also came from District Administrator Dorothea Schäfer. The district administrator emphasised that the Spring Wine Festival is one of the beacons of Rheinhessen. With this event, IkUM contributes to communicating the strengths of the district of Mainz-Bingen and the entire Rheinhessen region to the outside world.
For IkUM, the award is not the first Rheinhessen seal of quality. Since 2021, the vinotheque in the Ingelheim Winzerkeller, which operates under the umbrella of IkUM, has been part of the exclusive network in the ‘Excellent Vinotheque’ category.
