The 2024 children's cultural programme kicks off with an event as part of the "Konzertfrühling Ingelheim" series. On Sunday, 17 March, the "Theater Poetenpack" will present the musical theatre play "Oh, how beautiful is Panama" at kING. On Thursday, 4 April, "Heavysaurus" will conquer the stage at kING. With shrill dinosaur costumes, heavy metal sounds and a rousing light spectacle, the rocking dinosaurs will create a great atmosphere.
Of course, the popular outdoor events for young audiences will also return in 2024: As part of the "Thursdays in the City" series, there will be a varied afternoon programme for kids on four Thursdays from 8 August to 22 August. On Sebastian-Münster-Platz, children's music with Alys Paletti, the Galli theatre with "Hans im Glück", "Der Waschlappendieb" with Theater Lakritz and hands-on music with Oliver Mager will make children's eyes light up. All this with free admission.
A fixed date in the calendar of events in 2024 is once again "Töne & TamTam", the family music festival in the Ober-Ingelheim castle garden, which always takes place on the last weekend of the summer holidays. On Saturday, 24 August, and Sunday, 25 August, the enchanted garden not far from the castle church will once again be the setting for a musical family festival with individual artists, hands-on programmes and creative activities.
On Saturday, 23 November, the musical "Aladdin" will be a fairytale at kING. The musical takes the audience into a world full of adventure and magic. Specially composed musical hits, plenty of excitement and a large dose of humour promise the best live entertainment for the whole family. Finally, "Tabaluga & Lilli" heralds the end of the cultural year for young audiences. With much love for the original, Tabaluga's adventures are transformed into a fantastic musical version for the whole family. Adorable costumes and innovative stage sets bring the world of the little dragon to life on Thursday, 12 December at kING.
