Roses, wild herbs and plant doctor

Preparations for the second Ingelheim garden sales exhibition ‘GardenING’ are in full swing. On Saturday, 17 May and Sunday, 18 May, Ingelheim's Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IkUM) is inviting visitors to a colourful and informative garden fair on the grounds on Neisser Straße. As at last year's successful premiere, TV gardening expert Heike Boomgaarden will once again be on hand as curator. Tickets are now available in advance at www.ikum-ingelheim.de/gardening.

Following last year's successful premiere, the event is being held for the second time. Once again, ‘GardenING’ will pitch its tents on the grounds on Neisser Straße in Ingelheim-West, which will be transformed into a natural exhibition area with an impressive sea of flowers until mid-May. The two-day event attracts visitors with a wide range of roses, perennials and fruit trees, wild herbs, scented and climbing plants, balcony plants and flower bulbs. There are also high-quality accessories, garden tools and handicrafts for the outdoor area.

Of course, helpful tips and information about gardens, plants and nature will also be provided. Proven experts will be happy to pass on their know-how in specialist lectures, workshops and at the stands. Prominent gardening expert Heike Boomgaarden will act as curator and will be represented at the exhibition with a specialist lecture and a plant doctor stand. Meanwhile, children and young people can look forward to attractive hands-on activities relating to nature and gardening.

The garden sales exhibition ‘GardenING’ is open on Saturday, 17 May, from 10 am to 6 pm and on Sunday, 18 May, from 11 am to 6 pm. Tickets are available online at www.ikum-ingelheim.de/gardening and at the box office on the grounds. Tickets cost 9 euros (concessions 6 euros). Children up to 14 years have free admission.
