Spring wine festival at the wine cellar with live music, walking act and magic

Spring is just around the corner and with it the Ingelheim outdoor season with its popular wine festivals and attractive open-air events. It starts at the beginning of May with the spring wine festival at the Ingelheim wine cellar, which has heralded the start of the open-air season in the red wine town since 2013.

The IkUM (Ingelheimer Kultur und Marketing GmbH) is once again looking forward to a large and colourful festival against the impressive backdrop of the Winzerkeller. From Friday, 2 May to Sunday, 4 May, the garden in front of the historic building will once again be transformed into an inviting festival area with a stage, red wine fountain and food stalls. Guests can chill out in comfortable lounge furniture, meet friends and acquaintances and relax while watching the stage programme. The Ingelheim vinotheque will be serving excellent wines. The ‘Engler'S’ team from the restaurant in the Ingelheim Winzerkeller will be serving delicious snacks. There is a children's carousel and a stand with sweets for younger guests.

The spring wine festival, which has carried the ‘Rheinhessen ausgezeichnet’ seal of quality since 2024, opens its doors at 5 pm on both Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, the programme starts at 11 am. On all three days of the event, changing bands will provide atmospheric live music in front of the Winzerkeller. On Friday evening, the band ‘True Colour’ will be on stage from 7 pm, on Saturday, ‘Downbeat Alley’ will play, also from 7 pm, and on Sunday, the ‘Boehringer Big Band’ will open the stage programme at 11 am. Sunday afternoon will be all about magic and magic. From 4 to 4.30 pm, mental magician ‘Falco Spitz’ will enchant guests of all ages with his family magic show.

He will also be a walking act on the festival grounds from 2 to 3.30 pm and from 5 to 6 pm. At the end of the spring wine festival, the ‘Michael-Jochum-Duo’ (6 pm) will delight the audience with their live performance.

During opening hours, the premises of the historic wine cellar - including the multimedia exhibition ‘Cellar Comrades’ - are open for tours. The Ingelheim tour guides will also be offering public tours on all three days as part of the Spring Wine Festival. The dates are Friday, 2 May, 6.45 pm and 8 pm, Saturday, 3 May, 6.45 pm and 8 pm, and Sunday, 4 May, 1.30 pm and 5.30 pm.

The event is supported by Rheinhessische Energie- und Wasserversorgungs-GmbH.
