Updating the tourism concept for Ingelheim

A tourism concept for the city of Ingelheim was created for the first time in 2016. Due to the changed framework conditions following the addition of the new districts and the new offers in kING and Winzerkeller, an update and update for Ingelheim was initiated, taking into account the tourism strategy of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate 2025 and the concept for the Rheinhessen region. The new tourism concept was developed in several stages and with the participation of all tourism stakeholders in Ingelheim.

The centrepiece is the action programme: divided into four fields of action, specific measures for the town and its districts are summarised here. They serve as the basis for tourism work in the coming years.

The Bureau for Tourism and Recreation Planning (BTE) commissioned to draw up the concept summarises: the starting position is good! With its ideal location and connections, the charming natural landscape and authentic wine and culinary culture in the heart of Rheinhessen, the town of Ingelheim am Rhein fulfils very good basic requirements for strengthening and further developing an attractive offer that can be used to optimally address the main target groups of Rheinhessen. However, the objectives of the tourism concept can only be achieved if all stakeholders pull together. Close co-operation between the city administration, service providers and other tourism partners is essential for this. This is to be cultivated and expanded over the coming months and years.
