Winery Westerhaus
The castle ensemble from the 16th and 17th centuries enthrones stately over Ingelheim. In 1900, the Opel family acquired the estate. Today, the traditional winery is run by the Count and Countess of Schönburg-Glauchau in the fourth generation. They place everything under their quality target. They benefit from an outstanding vine collection in the single vineyard Schloss Westerhaus. The work in the vineyards and in the castle cellar they see as a challenge and commitment. At the top of the quality pyramid are the Großes Gewächs wines, Riesling and Pinot Noir of the highest quality. The local wines are typical premium wines from the Ingelheim Muschelkalk. The basis is formed by the red and white estate wines and the fresh rosés. As well as a selection of sparkling wine from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
